Brass Rod

Brass rods are made of an alloy of copper and zinc, with copper typically making up the larger proportion. The proportions of copper and zinc can be varied to create different brass alloys with different properties.

Material Properties

Brass is malleable, ductile, and has a low melting point
It’s also a good conductor of electricity
Brass is known for its strength, durability, and machinability
It has high corrosion resistance and tensile strength

Material Chemical Compostion

Copper (Cu): Typically the larger proportion, usually around 66%
Zinc (Zn): Typically the smaller proportion, usually around 34%
Other elements: Small amounts of other elements, such as lead, aluminum, and iron, may also be added
